Description

A guided walk (4½ km) that investigates the changing landscape surrounding three of Dartmoor’s ‘ancient tenements’: Dunnabridge was laid out in the early 14th century; Brownberry shifted around in the centuries that followed; and ‘Blakefurses’ was abandoned after the Black Death of 1348-49. This walk explores a beautiful area of the moor, investigates some spectacular man-made features, and culminates with the search for ‘Blakefurses’.
