Conservation Assistant (Volunteer)

Hosted by Natural England as part of the Moor Than meets the Eye (MTMTE) partnership HLF funded scheme  the Conservation Assistant  (Volunteer) role is a year-long structured training programme for graduate volunteers to consolidate skills and knowledge in applied conservation management. 

Experience will be gained in practical habitat and countryside management, biological surveying and monitoring as well as public engagement. Each person will be supported by a travel and subsistence allowance and an individually tailored package of training.

The volunteer Conservation Assistant role is suitable for recent graduates wishing to develop applied and practical conservation skills in order to gain employment in the nature conservation. We are looking for candidates with a degree or equivalent qualification in an environmental subject and a demonstrable, keen interest in pursuing a career in the sector. A full, clean driving licence is essential.
